Duwane Roberts has been part of the Beaumont City Transit Service for 32 years. On Wednesday, she provided excellent customer service to a caller who turned out to be Beaumont philanthropist, Regina Rogers. Rogers was so impressed by her excellent customer service, she sent a message to the City Manager saying Roberts, provided a detailed explanation, was good natured, and went out of her way to be helpful.

Today she got to meet the woman on the other side of that phone call, along with City Manager Kenneth Williams & Mayor Roy West who presented her with the “Heart of the City” Award.
